Teh-Sach Disease

As you are aware that, Tay-Sachs disease is caused by the absence or insufficient level of a vital enzyme called Hexosaminidase A (Hex-A). Without Hex-A, a fatty substance or lipid called GM2 ganglioside accumulates abnormally in cells, especially in the nerve cells of the brain. This ongoing accumulation, also called “substrate,” causes progressive damage to the cells.

To date, there is no cure or effective clinical trial for Tay-Sachs disease Hex-A are blocked from entering the brain by the blood. Stem cell transplantation using blood is an investigational procedure attempted with a small number of very young children, but to date there is not enough information for specific results about reversing or slowing damage to the central nervous system in this group with Tay-Sachs disease.

Stem cell is used to induce regeneration in TAY-SACH dISEASE. This is still in experimental stage but shown good result in few patients after using mesenchymal cells.

As you are aware that TAY-SACH disease is a difficult question and lack of HEX-A is our major concern, However use of driven mesenchymal cells will provide healthy genes and stem cell transplantation may reset up the blood-making function, As a dead-end patient
As per previous study of Literature, after allogenic stem cell transplantation. DNA analysis showed that the donor's gene DNA accounted for 1%-13%. At 126 days, obviously increased Hex-A positive neurons of the boy were found and rose to 2.5%-25%.
